KARNAL/JIND: Candidates who beat all odds to come up on top in the Haryana Civil Service (HCS) exam, celebrated their feat across the state on Tuesday. While one of the succesful candidates is a young woman who achieved the feat without any help, another is the son of a farmer.
Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) declared the results on Monday night.
Mohit of Jaisinghpura village brought laurels to Karnal district by cracking the exam, clearing his exam in the first attempt. On reaching his village, he was given a warm welcome by the residents. Mohit said, "I used to study 8 hours daily. My target is to crack the UPSC exam and efforts will continue until I become an IAS officer."
In Jind, despite losing her parents, Neetu Jangra (25) of Badoda village in Jind district's Uchana pursued her dreams without any support. On Tuesday, she realised it by cracking the prestigious Haryana Civil Services examinations. She lost her father in 2008 when she was 12 and, thereafter, her mother in 2021, but she continued her preparation to fulfil her mother's ambition.
Monika Sharma, a resident of Jhajjar's Kot village, came in 24th in the exams and made it in her second attempt. Her father is in the private sector and mother is a housewife.
